From our very own Pig Hill Farm Apiary:
Raw, unheated and untreated Vermont Wildflower Honey.
We keep our bees following organic and biodynamic practices. This honey was harvested mid-Summer, after the bees feasted on our apple and pear blossoms and got a taste of the goldenrod, red clover and sumac surrounding the pasture where the hives are located.
At the risk of sounding pretentious, we detect notes of lemon and vanilla. (This is not your average clover or orange blossom honey.) It is absolutely delicious slathered on a slice of Vermont cheese, stirred into one's tea or, frankly, eaten by the spoonful straight from the jar.
In keeping with responsible harvesting we didn't ravage the hives and only have a limited amount.
Packaged as 6 oz (170 grams) of liquid gold (honey).
